Who can join?

Male and female anglers that are in 1st - 12th grades from the Kasson Mantorville area. 

Acronyms

VFL = Lund Virtual Fishing League

TBF = The Bass Federation

SATT = Student Angler Tournament Trail

SAF = Student Angler Federation

How much is registration?

  • Youth Team (grades 1-5) - $100
  • Middle School Team (grades 5-8) - $200
  • High School Team (grades 9-12) - $275


If this fee is a concern for your family, please contact a board member or our general email and we will work on a way to have your angler fish with us. Our goal is to not turn any angler away because of financial constraints. 

What does registration include?

Registration includes: 

 

  • Membership into the Student Angler Federation (SAF), The Bass Federation (TBF), and Fishing League Worldwide (FLW) www.highschoolfishing.org 
  • Insurance - Every member will have insurance coverage for all official SAF team events, which includes 

  1. $1 million of liability coverage
  2. $25,000 excess medical coverage 
  3. $1 million for allegations of misconduct
  4. $25,000 Amber Alert coverage

Do I need to have equipment?

  • At the youth level you do not need to have your own equipment. The club will have equipment for you to use.  Travel Team and Virtual Team members do need some basic equipment.
  • If you do have equipment, you are more than welcome and encouraged to bring it. 

What is the schedule?

Schedules for each team are posted on the appropriate team page.

Do I need to have a child involved on the team to be a Boat Captain or Volunteer?

No! The more local volunteers the better. We understand that some boat captains may not be able to travel as much as others and that's okay. 

What does a sponsorship get me?

 

Platinum Sponsor 

-Donation of a minimum of $2,000 to be a team sponsor. Business will be displayed on all social media accounts from the club. Premium size and location on our team banner and fishing jerseys (large logo on front or back center of all team jerseys).


Gold Sponsor

-Donation of $750-$1999. Business will earn medium size logo placement on team jerseys. Logos in this sponsorship level will be placed between upper right or left chest or back, or sleeve placement (depending on availability). Business logo will also be of medium size on our team banner.


Silver Sponsor

-Donation of $350-$749. Business will earn a small logo placement on the lower part of the front or back of the jersey (depending on availability). Small logo will also be included on our team banner.


Bronze Sponsor

-Donations in this category are $50-349 and are so valued by our team. If you would like to donate any amount it all adds up and we appreciate your help so much. If you would like a logo placed on our social media and team banner please let us know.

Does my angler have to have experience?

Definitely not. Coaches and volunteers will be on hand to work with the anglers and help them regardless of their skill level.  

Is there a limit on the number of anglers you will accept on the team?

There is a limit of 50 anglers for the youth team. For the Middle and High School teams, there is no limit on the number of anglers able to participate on the team.  

What will the primary mode of communication be?

Email will be the main form of communication from our coaches and staff to anglers and parents.  You can also check out our social media outlets for current events and website for general team information.  

How many anglers can be in a boat?

For VFL and B.A.S.S. events there will be two anglers and a boat captain. 

What kind of fish will you fish for?

VFL and B.A.S.S. are bass only trails, however the team will learn about and have the opportunity to fish many other types of species.
